For the latest-gen Toyota Camry, the company has adopted a unified approach for the design, which means the ASEAN model looks almost identical to the North American-spec car.

The ASEAN-spec Toyota Camry looks identical to the North American-spec model. The only disparity in the styling package arises out of the absence of marker lights from the headlamps and the introduction of inclusion of horizontal fog lamps at the outer ends of the air dam. On the inside, the cabin is almost similar to that of the North American model but features a higher amount of wood trim and a different touchscreen infotainment unit.

The standard equipment list of the 2019 Toyota Camry includes eight-way adjustable power front seat, leather upholstery, wireless charging, keyless entry and go, and an eight-inch infotainment system. The costlier trims even offer head-up-display (HUD), adjustment and ventilated front seats, rear reclining seats, nine airbags, onboard WiFi hotspot and three-zone climate control. The new model even offers a handful of driver-assist technologies, including a pre-collision system, automatic cruise control and lane departure warning.

The company has showcased the entry-level 2.0G variant, while the Thai-spec car is even available with more powerful petrol and petrol-hybrid motors. The latest-gen Camry is underpinned by the carmaker's TNGA-platform. It measures 4,879.34 mm in length, 1,838.96 mm in width, and 1,445.26 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,824.48 mm. The premium executive sedan is available with three engine options -

  • 167 hp 2.0-litre (6AR-FBS) mated to a six-speed automatic transmission
  • 209 hp 2.5-litre (A25A-FKB) mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission
  • 211 hp 2.5-litre hybrid (A25A-FXS) that comes mated to an electronic CVT
