The Maruti Baleno, introduced in October 2015, has received its mid-cycle refresh. Here’s a visual comparison between the original and facelifted models.

LED projector headlamps, two-tone precision-cut alloy wheels, premium LED rear combination lamps and SmartPlay Studio infotainment system are some of the highlights of the new Baleno.

Like most Maruti Suzuki models, the Baleno has received a minor cosmetic update and most of the visual changes are seen on the front. There’s a more aggressive bumper with protruding outer ends, a new upper grille and a new lower grille. The designers have pushed out the fog lamps to the corners, which, along with the strong contours in the bumper, gives more definition to the outer ends.

On the sides, the Maruti Baleno has upgraded to shiny-new 16-inch two-tone precision-cut alloy wheels, while the only new feature at the rear is the premium LED combination lamps. The interior design has remained unchanged. However, there are some aesthetic differences from the old model. The seats have a new two-tone black and blue fabric upholstery and the centre console has a refreshed ornamentation. The new SmartPlay Studio infotainment system has replaced the SmartPlay infotainment system.

The Maruti Baleno is now higher on safety now. LED projector headlamps have replaced HID projector headlamps, reverse parking sensors are now standard and there’s a seatbelt reminder for the front passenger too now. Moreover, the car has a speed alert system also now.
