Another year, and another minor refresh for the dated Mitsubishi Pajero (Mitsubishi Montero/Mitsubishi Shogun) in China. The 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero is now on sale, but it is yet to show up on the GAC-Mitsubishi’s website.
With no successor or lifecycle makeover in sight, GMMC has slightly tweaked the Mitsubishi Pajero’s design based on the minor update from August last year. However, the MY2019 update is very small compared to the MY2018 update. This year, only the upper grille has changed, comprising three twin horizontal slats as well as two vertical openings on the outer ends. The interior is the same as before.
The 2019 Mitsubishi Pajero has no mechanical changes. It carries over the 6G72 3.0-litre naturally aspirated V6 petrol engine that develops 128 kW (174 PS) at 5,250 rpm and 255 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. As before, 5-speed automatic transmission and a 4WD system are a part of the standard configuration on the flagship Mitsubishi.
