Kwang Yang Motor Co, better known as Kymco, has showcased the Kymco Like 110 EV and the Kymco Nice 100 EV electric scooters at the INTERMOT 2018 in Cologne, Germany.
The Kymco Like 110 EV and the Kymco Nice 100 EV come with the Ionex charging solutions, which makes use of lightweight, swappable batteries that can be charged at home or office using charging stand. Kymco has plans to install 1,500 Ionex charging stations in Taiwan, where customers can charge the respective scooters.
The Kymco Like 110 EV comes with a retro design, which is reminiscent of classic Italian scooters like the Vespa and Lambretta. The Like 110 EV features an all-metal body with a simplistic design, clean lines and a circular headlight. The e-scooter employs a 3kW electric motor that offers a range of 60 km and a top speed of 45km/h.
The Kymco Like 110 EV tips the weighing scales at 110 kg. It receives features like an all-digital instrument cluster, smartphone connectivity with Facebook and WhatsApp message support, GPS navigation system and weather alerts. On the other hand, the Kymco Nice 100 EV is an entry-level and lighter electric scooter.
The Kymco Nice 100 EV has a weight of 77 kg. The electric scooter uses a smaller 1.5kW motor that offers a similar range of 60 km as the Like 110 EV; however, it has a top speed of only 45 km/h. Unlike the Like 110 EV, the Kymco Nice 100 EV comes devoid of any connectivity options.

Kymco has already announced its plans to enter the Indian market sometime in 2021. While we are not sure whether the Kymco Nice 100 EV and the Like 110 EV will be the first products from the Taiwanese company in India, the electric scooters will make for niche offerings in the entry-level EV space.
