On 3 September 2018, we reported that Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) had updated the features list for the Fortuner, Innova Crysta, and Innova Crysta Touring Sport. All the variants of these three models now offer additional equipment. The updated vehicles have finally started reaching the dealerships, and we have some exclusive images of the entry-level trim of the updated 2018 Toyota Innova Crysta.
All the trims of the Toyota Innova Crysta, the company's best-seller with a monthly sales average of 6,637 units (between March 2018 to April 2018), are now available with Engine Immobiliser with a siren, driver's seat with height adjustment, speed sensitive door lock, impact sensing door unlock and rear parking sensors.
Additionally, the GX trim has gained a touchscreen infotainment system with DVD player, Bluetooth, USB, Aux-IN and Bluetooth connectivity. The three-spoke steering wheel features audio controls, while the ORVMs are now electric-folding. Other new features include a mirror for the sun visor, puddle lamps, and cruise control for the automatic transmission equipped version.
While the GX trim gets the highest number of new features, even the VX and the ZX trim come with additional equipment. The former is now on sale with a glass break sensor, rear fog lamp, and front LED fog lamp while the latter comes with an Emergency Brake Signal. The addition of these features has resulted in a price increase of up to INR 30,000. The 2018 Toyota Innova Crysta is on sale in a price range of INR 14.65 - 23.06 Lakhs.

The 2018 Toyota Innova Crysta is available in three engine variants - two diesel and one petrol. The 2.4-litre 2GD-FTV four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine produces a maximum power of 150 PS @ 3,400 rpm and a peak torque of 343 Nm @ 1,400 - 2,800 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV four-cylinder turbocharged oil-burner offers a maximum power of 174 PS @ 3,400 rpm and a peak torque of 360 Nm between 1,200 - 3,400 rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
The petrol variant is powered by the 2.7-litre 2TR-FE four-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine that produces 166 PS/245 Nm of maximum power/maximum torque. Transmission options include 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
