The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has garnered over 10,000 bookings in India since its launch on 20 August. Moreover, the company has sold over 24,000 units of the Ciaz (pre-facelift & facelift models) in H1 2018 (April to September).
Maruti Suzuki reveals that the Ciaz accounts for 28.8 per cent market share in the mid-size sedan segment in the domestic market. Furthermore, the company has sold over 2.34 lakh units of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz since its launch in 2014. Maruti Suzuki has also revealed that the Nexa Blue colour option has contributed to over 25.5 per cent of total Ciaz Sales in 2018-19.
Speaking about the great response to the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Mr R S Kalsi, Senior Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., said -

The 2018 Maruti Ciaz receives an updated front fascia with a new grille, LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs and a redesigned bumper. The side profile features new 16-inch machined alloy wheels, while the rear comes with LED combination lamps and a revised rear bumper. On the inside, the Ciaz gets a new faux Birch blonde wood trim and an updated 4.2-inch colour MID and adjustable rear-seat headrests.
On the features front, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes equipped with cruise control, auto headlamps with auto levelling function, and reverse parking camera with sensors. The automatic variant also gets ESP (Electronic Stability Program) and Hill Hold Assist features.
As compared to the old model, the new Maruti Ciaz is available with an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine with Smart Hybrid technology, while the oil burner continues with the 1.3-litre DDiS Smart Hybrid diesel motor. The 1.5-litre petrol mill features the next generation Smart Hybrid technology with a Li-ion battery. It produces 103.27 bhp of maximum power and 138 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed AT.

On the other hand, the 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engine produces 89 bhp of maximum power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The same 5-speed manual gearbox transfers drive to the front wheels. While the diesel version delivers a fuel economy of 28.09 km/l, the petrol variant has a fuel efficiency of 21.56 km/l (MT) and 20.28 km/l (AT), respectively. The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz costs INR 8.19 lakhs to INR 10.97 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
