After China, the Nissan Terra is first on its way to the Philippines. The marketing campaign of the new SUV in the country has commenced with a teaser image and a teaser video.
The Nissan Terra, internally known as ‘Nissan P60A’, is a PPV based on the third generation Nissan Navara. In China, it is the successor to the Nissan Paladin, also known as Nissan Xterra. It was spied testing in the Philippines in January this year.
The Nissan Terra is 4,882 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,835 mm high. It has a 2,850 mm wheelbase and a best-in-class 225 mm ground clearance. In China, it’s a strict 5-seater, but the Philippines and other markets may get it in a 7-seat version either as standard or as an option.
Another expected difference between the version sold in China and other markets is the engine. China gets the Nissan Terra with the QR25 2.5L petrol engine that produces 135 kW (184 PS) and 251 Nm of torque. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission. A 4WD system is available. In the Philippines and other markets, Nissan may offer the Nissan Navara’s YS23DDT 2.3L diesel engine, YS23DDTT 2.3L diesel engine and/or YD25DDTi 2.5L diesel engine.
Boomerang LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 18-inch alloy wheels, boomerang LED tail lights, electric sunroof, Zero Gravity front seats, 8-way electric adjustment for driver’s seat and dual-zone automatic climate control are among the key features of the Nissan Terra. The mid-size SUV is equipped with a number of advanced safety and driver assistance features as well, such as Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Warning and Intelligent Emergency Braking.
