The current Honda City is manufactured in India at the Tapukara plant in Rajasthan. The next-gen Honda City, however, will roll out of the Greater Noida plant, as per a report from livemint.
The fourth-gen Honda City was built at the Greater Noida plant only, until July 2014. After a month's gap, the production was relocated to the Tapukara plant in September 2014. With the arrival of the fifth-gen model, Honda will move back the production to the facility located in U.P, a source has revealed to the business publication.
The next-gen Honda City could have a sleeker and more futuristic design, with inputs from latest global models like the latest Honda Accord and the Honda Insight. An upgraded version of the current model’s platform should underpin this redesigned model.
Honda will offer the all-new Honda City with BSVI compliant engines, likely enhanced versions of the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol and 1.5L i-DTEC diesel units. The company doesn’t sell the current Honda City Hybrid in India, but reports say that it could introduce the next-gen Honda City Hybrid, after 2020. It will consider offering a CVT option in the diesel engine-powered configurations of the next-gen Honda City.

The next-gen Honda City will debut by 2020. Like the current Honda City, it should go on sale in India first and then in Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Australia and other markets.
