The Tata Nexon AMT’s launch is just around the corner, but Tata Motors is yet to make an announcement or reveal any details. IAB has some exclusive information about the Tata Nexon AMT to share, along with an image of its interior.
The Tata Nexon AMT features a 6-speed automated manual transmission. Tata Motors recommends driving in the automated mode for achieving maximum fuel economy. Creep function is present to offer driver more convenience in heavy traffic and during parking. There’s a ‘kick down’ feature that downshifts the gear if the accelerator pedal is quickly pressed during automatic mode while driving at a constant speed. It is mainly useful during overtaking out on highways.
Tata Motors will offer the Tata Nexon AMT with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine as well as the 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine. The turbocharged petrol engine produces 110 PS and 170 Nm of torque. The turbocharged diesel engine develops 110 PS and 260 Nm of torque. The company is expected to offer the AMT models in only a mid-spec ‘XTA’ grade and a range-topping ‘XZA’ grade.
