Tata Motors launched the Tata Nexon in September last year. At Auto Expo 2018 next month, the company will introduce the Tata Nexon AMT, says a report from Autocar India.
The Tata Nexon AMT, like the Renault Duster AMT, will have a 6-speed transmission. Tata Motors will offer the 6-speed automated manual transmission with the 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine (110 PS/170 Nm) and the 1.5-litre Revotorq diesel engine (110 PS/260 Nm). The Nexon AMT will feature creep function that allows the car to go forward or backwards without the accelerator pedal when the brake pedal is released. Creep function makes driving in stop-and-go traffic and parking easier.
Tata Motors will likely offer the Tata Nexon AMT in XTA and XZA grades. The Nexon XTA should feature roof rails, body coloured door handles, body coloured & power folding mirrors, shark-fin antenna, automatic climate control, rear air vents, cooled & illuminated glovebox and 12V power charging port in the rear.
The Nexon XZA will likely add features like projector headlamps with Feline-Eye shaped DRLs, dual-tone roof colour, keyless entry, engine push-start button, front armrest, rear armrest with 2 cupholders, fast USB charger, 6.5-inch ConnectNext touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker sound system, voice alerts, rear view camera and more.
