Tata Motors has announced a price hike across its passenger vehicle range that will come into effect January 2018 onwards. Prices of Tata products including the Tiago, Tigor, Hexa, and the Tata Nexon will go up by up to INR 25,000.
Tata launched the Nexon in September 2017 at a starting price of INR 5.85 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. However, these prices were introductory. January 2108 onwards, buyers will have to shell out up to INR 25,000 more to purchase the compact SUV.
Commenting on the price hike, Mr. Mayank Pareek, President, Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, said:
The changing market conditions, rising input costs and various external economic factors have compelled us to consider the price increase. We are optimistic on maintaining our growth trajectory in the coming year on the back of our robust product portfolio like Tiago, Hexa, Tigor and the recently launched Nexon.
