The 2017 Hyundai Verna's continues to post strong numbers in the Indian market. HMIL has announced that the Honda City rival has racked up over 24,000 bookings since the dealers officially started accepting orders August 4, 2017, onwards.
In less than four months time, the Hyundai Verna has managed to garner more than 1,75,000 enquiries. The positive response to the new Verna has also helped Hyundai post a 10% year on year growth in domestic sales for November.
The 2017 Hyundai Verna is enjoying a strong start to its campaign. It managed to outsell its closest rivals Honda City and Maruti Ciaz in September and October and Hyundai seems to be well on its way to achieve its target of shipping 20,000 units to customers before the end of 2017.
Exports of the Hyundai Verna are underway as well. After announcing that it had received an order of 10,501 units for the Verna from the Middle East, Hyundai has exported 2,022 units of the sedan to Saudi Arabia till now. The new Verna will also be exported to South Africa, other Gulf and Asian countries 2018 onwards.

In India, Hyundai offers the Verna with 1.6 L Gamma petrol and 1.6 L U2 CRDi diesel engines mated to 6-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmissions. The Hyundai Verna petrol range starts at INR 799,990 (ex-showroom Delhi), while diesel variants are priced from INR 942,990 (ex-showroom Delhi).
