Sales of the Maruti Vitara Brezza have crossed 2 lakh units since its launch in March 2016. The compact SUV managed to achieve the feat in just 20 months averaging around 10,000 units per month. It is currently the highest selling UV in the domestic market.
The Maruti Vitara Brezza took less than a year to register sales of 1 lakh units. It managed to double its tally less than a year later. It registered its highest sales in July 2017 clocking 15,243 units. Despite the introduction of the newer rivals from Tata and Honda, the Vitara Brezza has firmly held on to the top spot in its segment. Even the updated Ford EcoSport is unlikely to knock the Maruti Vitara Brezza off its perch.
The compact SUV has been instrumental in helping MSIL dethrone Mahindra as the leader in the UV segment. Over the April-October period, MSIL products account for 28.43% of the total sales as opposed to Mahindra's share of 26.31%.
