Suzuki has unveiled the 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. Here are the all-new Swift Sport's live images from the show.
With the latest redesign, the Suzuki Swift Sport has entered its third generation. The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport is 3,890 mm long, 1,735 mm wide and 1,500 mm tall. It is 50 mm longer than the regular Suzuki Swift, but its ground clearance, at 120 mm, is no different. The Sport variant-specific exterior changes include a unique radiator grille and bumper design, the addition of front lip spoiler, side skirts and a rear diffuser, sportier, 17-inch alloy wheels and dual exhausts.
The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport has a performance-themed interior. Leather-wrapped steering wheel with red stitching, bucket seats with red stitching and “Sport” branding, stainless steel pedals and red highlighting on the dashboard, centre console, door panels and inside the instrument panel.
Under the hood, the 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport has a revised version of the K14C BOOSTERJET engine. The 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol mill develops 140 PS at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 2,500-3,500 rpm in it. 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic are the transmissions. Front-wheel drive is standard. The fuel economy of the all-new Swift Sport is rated at 16.4 km/l (MT)/16.2 km/l. Note that these figures apply to the JDM-spec version.
The 2018 Suzuki Swift Sport should go on sale in Europe by early 2018.
