Upmarket variant of the Altis launched at 939,000 baht.
It has only been about two months since Toyota launched the MY2016 Corolla ESport in Thailand, and the Japanese manufacturer has already introduced the 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis ESport based on the facelifted model. The Corolla ESport is priced at 939,000 baht, while the newly introduced Esport Option costs 979,000 baht.
The new Corolla ESport carries over the exterior changes from the facelifted Corolla Altis, but comes with exclusive features like a rear spoiler, faux diffuser, chrome-finished exhaust pipe, bumper extensions and side skirts, gun metal garnish for grille and Bi-Beam LED headlamps and 17 inch alloy wheels. Like the regular model, the Corolla ESport can be finished in Phantom Brown (new), Gray Metallic, White Pearl Crystal (1.8 variant), Silver Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.
Inside, the ESport Option features a 7 inch T-Connect toucshcreen system with DVD playback and navigation, 8-way power adjustable driver's seat, multi-info color display, updated Optitron instrument cluster, and rear view camera. Both the ESport and ESport Option get 7 SRS airbags, HAC (Hill-start Assist Control) and VSC as standard.
The Corolla ESport is powered by the 2ZR-FBE 1.8L petrol engine which paired with a 7-step Super CVT-i, produces 141 PS and 18.01 kg.m of peak torque. Toyota claims to have fine-tuned the suspension for better handling and it features Sport Drive Mode for quicker throttle response.
