Priced between 799,000 baht and 1,079,000 baht.
Toyota Motor Thailand has introduced the 2017 Toyota Corolla Altis (facelift) for sale, locally as the 2016 model. The Corolla Altis range is priced between 799,000 baht and 1,079,000 baht, and comes in 7 variants.
The facelifted Corolla has a slightly sleeker exterior design, featuring a redesigned grille with chrome garnish, new headlamps with Bi-Beam LED projectors and LED DRLs, a simpler bumper design with muscular contours and bumper-wide intake, round foglamps, new alloy rim designs and LED-powered taillamp clusters. It comes in six colors: Phantom Brown (new), Gray Metallic, Super white (1.6 variant), White Pearl Crystal (1.8 variant), Silver Metallic and Attitude Black Mica.
Inside, changes introduced in the mid-cycle refresh are subtle. The only visual upgrades are the new controls for the single-zone HVAC system, spherical HVAC vents for driver and front passenger, updated Optitron instrument cluster and a 7-inch T-Connect touchscreen infotainment system with navigation. Toyota claims to have improved cabin luxury by using soft-touch materials and contrast stitching, have refined the suspension system for a softer ride, and made 7 SRS airbags as standard across the range in the Thai market.
Base variants are powered by a 1ZR-FBE 1.6L four cylinder petrol engine paired with a 6-speed MT or CVT, producing 125 PS and 16.0 kg.m of peak torque. Higher variants and the ESport Edition are powered by the 2ZR-FBE 1.8L four cylinder petrol engine mated only to a 7-step CVT, which produces 141 PS and 18.01 kg.m of peak torque. Toyota also mentions the 'Sport Drive Mode Switch' which improves acceleration.
