Land Rover Discovery Mk5 to have motorshow debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
Jaguar Land Rover has announced that the 2017 Land Rover Discovery will have its world premiere on 28 September, 2016 and released the first teaser images of the SUV. The 2017 Discovery will have its motorshow debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.
The new generation Discovery's front-end appears to be largely identical to that of the Land Rover Discovery Vision concept shown in 2014, and indicates not much will change on the design-front in the production version. The interior was recently revealed in an uncovered spyshot.
The fifth generation Land Rover Discovery will be based on on the PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform, and thus, be significantly lighter than the current model it replaces. The redesigned mid-size Land Rover will have stepped roof for “stadium seating” for seven people.

The 2017 Land Rover Discovery is expected to be offered with 2.0- and 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options globally. While full-hybrid powertrains are certainly out of question, mild-hybrid systems could be offered in the all-new model. The new generation Land Rover Discovery will be built alongside the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport at the Solihull plant in England.
