Both are local premieres in the Middle East.
Ford has unveiled the 2017 Ford GT and 2016 Ford Ranger Wildtrak at the 2015 Dubai Motor Show.
Ford GT
The 2017 Ford GT being showcased sports a new red exterior with white stripes.
The Ford GT, which goes on sale next year, features many modern innovations in the supercar industry, such as an advanced and lightweight chassis, and a carbon fibre passenger cell with aluminium front and rear subframes that have been enveloped in structural carbon fibre body parts.
Its exterior relies on aerodynamics for smooth performance, as seen in the optimum tear-drop shape to its aircraft-inspired fuselage. The new Ford GT comes with LED headlamps and unique DRLs, two large sculpted air scoops on the hood and a front splitter, while the rear has two round LED tailamps, dual central exhausts, an active rear spoiler and a carbon fiber diffuser.
The Ford GT is powered by the most powerful EcoBoost engine ever made by the Blue Oval - a 3.5-liter V6 twin turbo engine producing “more than 600 hp”. It is paired to a seven-speed dual clutch gearbox, and just 250 units of the car will be made, with each rumored to be priced at above $400,000.
Ford Ranger Wildtrak
As for the facelifted Ford Ranger Wildtrak, it sports a bolder trapezoidal grille finished in black, grey side mirror caps and door handles, side air vents, bed rails and updated taillights. Other features in the Wildtrak variant include the trademark sports bar, 18-inch alloy wheels, Wildtrak graphics at the side, and larger fog lamps.
The engine lineup includes a 160 hp 2.2-litre TDCi or a 3.2-litre five-cylinder TDCi with 200 hp and 470 Nm of peak torque, while transmission options include a six-speed manual or automatic.
