UMW Toyota Motor launched the new Toyota Corolla in Malaysia last week. The facelifted Corolla, seen here in live images from Paultan, is priced from RM 1,20,900 (INR 18,40,159.71) in the country.
The new Toyota Corolla (facelift) measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,776 mm in width and 1,460 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. On the outside, the facelifted model features new front bumper, new grille design, new rear bumper and new tail light graphics. LED daytime running lights are now standard. Reverse Link Tilt Down door mirrors have added, which automatically tilt down when the gear is shifted to reverse.
Inside, the dashboard has been mildly updated with round corner HVAC vents, new centre console and new HVAC controls, the steering wheel controls have been revised and the instrument cluster features new graphics.
The new Toyota Corolla is available in three configurations: 1.8E, 1.8G and 2.0V. The Corolla 1.8E and Corolla 1.8G are powered by the 2ZR-FE 1.8-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 103 kW (139 PS) at 6,400 rpm and 173 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. The range-topping Corolla 2.0V gets the bigger and more powerful 3ZR-FE 2.0-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine that develops 107 kW (145 PS) at 6,200 rpm and 187 Nm of torque at 3,600 rpm. A 7-speed continuously variable transmission is standard.

LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, power-adjustable and automatically folding door mirrors and sports seats with 8-way power adjustment and lumbar support for the driver's seat are some of the key features of the new Toyota Corolla. ABS with EBD and BA, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and TRC (Traction Control), front and rear parking sensors, 7 airbags and ISOFIX rear child seat anchors are standard in the facelifted model.
