To be available in three variants: G, SRZ and VRZ.
AutonetMagz has managed to obtain the brochure of the 2016 Toyota Fortuner for the Indonesian market, which is expected to launch in January. The feature set and interior design will be similar to that of the second generation 2016 Toyota Innova, which is already available for sale.
The new Fortuner is slightly bigger than the outgoing model, measuring 4,795 mm long (90 mm longer than the outgoing model) but has the same wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Exterior features include sleek LED headlights with daytime running lamps and LED taillights, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, ORVM-integrated turn signals, floating roof impression and an electric tailgate.
Inside, the cabin is upholstered in leather and is equipped with a new multifunction 3-spoke steering wheel, TFT-screen for MID in the new instrument cluster, 8-way electric driver’s seat, 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system, chilled glovebox, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electrically adjustable door mirrors with power folding function, engine Start/Stop button paired with Smart Key entry, and cruise control.
The Indonesia-spec Fortuner will be available in three variants: G, SRZ and VRZ. The G and VRZ trim levels will offer Toyota's new 2.4-liter turbodiesel unit with 150 PS and 400 Nm, which also powers the new Innova. The SRZ trim will be offered with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder VVT-i petrol engine delivering 122 hp and 245 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual with 4x2 is standard in the base G trim, while a 6-speed automatic can be opted in all other variants. A 4x4 drive system is offered as standard in the top-end VRZ diesel trim.
The new Fortuner is expected in the Indian market in 2017.
