Not confirmed by Toyota.
Given the interest on crossovers based on regular hatchbacks, MPVs and even sedans, IAB's artist, Shoeb R Kalania, has worked on a rendering of the 2016 Toyota Innova with the usual crossover elements. Note that Toyota has not confirmed such a variant in the making.
The Toyota Innova Cross (dubbed similar to the Etios Cross) features a more aggressive hexagonal grille with black plastic slats, silver skid plate, black plastic bumper, side sill and fender extensions, higher ground clearance, roof rails and chunkier tires.
The regular model measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,795 mm in height and 2,750 mm in wheelbase. On the outside, it gets features such as LED Projector headlamps, 17 inch alloy rims, chrome inserts for dual-slate grille, foglamps, new L-shaped taillamps and a shark fin antenna.

Under the hood, its engine lineup consists of an all-new 2.4-liter GD diesel engine or a 2.0-liter VVT-i petrol engine. Transmission options for both engines include a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. Powertrain characteristics can be adjusted via “PWR” or “ECO” modes, depending on the user.
