The 2016 Proton Persona is powered by the 1.6-litre VVT petrol engine from Proton Iriz. Like in the Iriz, this engine produces 107 hp at 5,750 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. However, for the Persona, it has been calibrated with a new ECU.
