All-new Proton Persona now on sale in Malaysia.
The 2016 Proton Persona was launched in Malaysia yesterday and ASEAN NCAP released crash test result of the car the same day. The new generation Persona has been awarded a 5-star safety rating by ASEAN NCAP.
ASEAN NCAP hasn't actually crash tested the 2016 Proton Persona though; the result, in a way, is theoretical. The vehicle safety rating organisation has simply extended the safety rating of the Proton Iriz because the 2016 Proton Persona is simply its sedan version and offers comparable occupant protection. Reasoning the odd move, ASEAN NCAP stated the volume of the all-new Persona is not yet available to justify the test.
From the Proton Iriz's crash test results, it is said claimed the equally safe 2016 Proton Persona has scored 14.07 points of maximum 16.00 points in adult occupant protection, which converts to 5-star rating, and 82% in child occupant protection. which converts to 4-star rating.
