China is the first market to get the 1.5L VTEC TURBO-6MT combo.
Honda is displaying the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic at Auto China 2016 in Beijing. The China-spec 2016 Honda Civic seen in the images was launched earlier this month. The all-new model was launched with a choice of four equipment grades and two engine and transmission configurations, with prices ranging from 1,29,900 yuan (INR 13,29,251) to 1,69,900 yuan (INR 17,38,566).
The China-spec 2016 Honda Civic measures 4,649 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,416 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. There's no choice of a 1.8 or 2.0-litre aspirated engine unlike other global markets. The familiar 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO petrol engine is standard across the range in China. The turbocharged four-cylinder unit develops 130 kW (174 hp) and 220 Nm of torque, and can be paired to a 6-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. China is the first market where the VTEC TURBO engine is offered with a 6-speed manual transmission in the 2016 Honda Civic.
Noteworthy features of the 2016 Honda Civic include LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED taillamps, 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel, sport seats and Honda Connect infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone integration compatibility. Safety and assistance technologies include ABS, EBD, VSA, ESS, Lane Keeping Assist System (LSS), Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) and Road Departure Mitigation (RDM).
