The Ford Figo Aspire offers an exclusive 6-speed Powershift DCT gearbox for its 1.5-liter petrol engine variant.

The Ford Figo Aspire competes against the more settled opposition like the Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, and Tata Zest. Since its launch in early-August, the Aspire has enjoyed an average sales figure of 5,000 units a month. Ford India sold 10,008 units in October 2015, of which the Aspire accounted for 30 percent.

The compact sedan is manufactured at the company's new facility in Sanand, Gujarat, and is sold via 352 outlets in 189 cities. The plant is operating, at present, in a single shift as against its maximum capacity of three shifts each day.

The Figo Aspire competes in a highly competitive segment. At the higher end of the competition lies the Swift Dzire, which sold a whopping 24,502 units in October 2015 as against the lower-end of the spectrum, the Tata Zest, that sold 2,526 units.

The Figo Aspire is powered by a 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol, a 1.5-liter TDCi diesel, and a 1.5-liter Ti-VCT petrol engine. Its hatchback version, the new Figo, was launched in September in India, and will be exported to 50 markets eventually.
