Will launch in India next year.
The 2015 Jaguar XE is currently being showcased at the 2015 IAA in Frankfurt, which is expected to launch in India next year.
The exterior of the new Jaguar XE borrows cues from the latest models in the range. It has an upright front end with a mesh grille, a pair of projector headlamps with "J-Shaped" LED DRLS, large air intakes in the lower fascia, and a contoured engine hood. Coming to the rear, the XE features a new taillamp design with an F-Type-inspired LED arrangement and dual exhaust tips (XE S only). It measures 4.6 m long, 1.85 m wide, and 1.4 m tall,
Inside, it features a new dashboard design with buttons neatly arranged across the center console, while other familiar additions include an F-Type inspired three-spoke steering wheel, two instrument dials with a large MID, leather-wrapped dashboard and upholstery. The dashboard houses an 8 inch touchscreen that runs JLR’s new InControl Touch infotainment system.
Under the hood, the 2016 Jaguar XE is powered by JLR’s Ingenium series of engines, which includes a 2.0-liter diesel engine that develops 163 hp and 380 Nm on the base variant and 180 hp and 430 Nm in the higher variants. The Jaguar XE “S” variant packs Jaguar’s 3.0-liter V6 supercharged petrol engine delivering 380 hp and 450 Nm.
All engines are mated to an 8-speed ZF gearbox, while the entry-level 163-hp diesel variant can be ordered with a 6-speed manual.
