Renault UK announces prices for Renault Kadjar; starts at £17,995 - IAB Report

Deliveries for the Renault Kadjar will begin in September in the UK.

After debuting it at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, French carmaker Renault has announced prices for the Renault Kadjar for the UK market. The Captur's bigger brother starts retailing at £17,995 (INR 17.68 lakh) and goes up to £26,295 (INR 25.84 lakh). While bookings open in the UK in July, deliveries will commence in September and production of the Kadjar will take place in the company's Spanish plant.

The Kadjar is launched in 4 variants, with the top-end getting 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, panoramic sunroof, and full-LED headlights.

The Kadjar crossover is based on the Renault-Nissan alliance's CMF platform and is offered in the UK with 3 engine options: a 1.2-liter turbocharged TCe 130 hp four-cylinder direct-injection petrol unit, a 1.5-liter ENERGY dCi 110 hp four-cylinder diesel and a 1.6-liter ENERGY dCi four-cylinder 130 hp diesel engine. Choice of gearbox is between a six-speed manual and an Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic gearboxes. While the dCi 110 is available only in 2WD mode, the other two engine options are available in both 2WD and 4WD trims.

Features in the cabin include the R-Link 2 multimedia system featuring a seven-inch capacitive color touchscreen TFT display with voice-activated navigation, telephone, apps and radio.

Four trim levels are available: Expression+, Dynamique Nav, Dynamique S, and Signature Nav. Standard features across all trims include ABS with electronic brake-force distribution, ESC with traction and understeer control, cruise control, speed limiter, hill start assist, and six airbags.
