Triumph India today added two new models to its portfolio, the Triumph Tiger XRx and the Triumph Tiger XCx. The Tiger XR is priced at INR 10.5 lakhs, the Tiger XRx at INR 11.6 lakhs, while the XCx costs INR 12.7 lakhs, ex-Showroom, New Delhi.

Both motorcycles received their world premiere in November last year at the EICMA show in Milan Italy. They're powered by a second generation liquid-cooled, 12-valve, 800 cc DOHC inline three-cylinder engine which develops 95 PS and 79 Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox is matched to this motor.

Of the two, the XCx focusses more on core off-roading with its larger spoke wheels (21-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear), fully-adjustable WP suspension, a front mudguard, and protective elements like a sump guard and radiator guard so that foreign elements like rocks and gravel do not damage key components.

The XRx's strength lies in road use, and gets alloy wheels (19-inch up front and 17-inch at the rear), but misses out on the rugged adjustable suspension. The seat height of the XRx is 10 mm lower than the XCx for better road use as well.

However, both motorcycles get features such as three riding modes, auto-cancel indicators, hand guards, a more advanced trip computer and an additional 12V power socket apart from the standard one. ABS and traction control are part of standard equipment.
