Features 1.5-liter petrol engine and 4-speed auto as standard.
Toyota has parked the hugely popular Vios at its stall at the on-going 2015 Bangkok Motor Show. Vios is the company’s entry-level sedan in the Thai market which starts from 59,000 Baht onward (equivalent to INR 10.5 lakh). The Thai-made sedan was launched in 2012 and is exported to many neighbouring countries.
The sedan measures 4,410 mm long, 1,700 mm wide, and 1,475 mm tall - bigger than Toyota’s entry level sedan Etios in the Indian market. The three-box’s styling is influenced by elder sibling Corolla Altis, and is positioned below it. The Thai Vios is offered in four trims - S, G, E, and TRD Sportivo. The TRD Sportivo gets the full body kits and exclusive alloy wheels.
The Vios is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 109 PS (107.5 bhp) of maximum power at 6,000 rpm, and 141 Nm of maximum torque at 4,200 rpm. A 4-speed automatic gearbox is standard. Features on the Vios are a push start system and smart entry, an Eco meter, automatic climate control, projector headlamps, ABS, dual SRS airbags, immobilizer key and Theft Deterrent System depending on the trim.
The Toyota Vios is spotted frequently testing in the city of Bengaluru, while the company has not announced plans of introducing it in India.
