Visual and feature appeal enhanced, but no changes to the mechanicals.
According to a report by Overdrive, Jaguar will launch new variants of the XF in India in the second half of this year. The new variants, which went on sale in the U.K. recently, add several features to the executive sedan, and also boost the car's aesthetics.
The XF R-Sport for example gets 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch alloys available on the R-Sport Black), leather grain upholstery, Gloss Dark Oak veneer, a 380 watt Meridian audio system and a reverse parking camera.
The Portfolio pack adds features like the Meridian system, 19-inch wheels, a Blind Spot detection system and parking assist. However, the car's mechanicals are unchanged. For the Indian market, expect the R-Sport and Portfolio to be offered on the XF 2.2-liter diesel or the 2.0-liter petrol.
According a report, the next generation XF will be showcased at the New York Auto Show in April 2015, with European sales expected to start by the end of this year.

Jaguar says that in the U.K., buyers benefit from the R-Sport and Portfolio kits as extra equipment is offered at a lower price. This could be one way of clearing inventory of the sedan before the new model arrives at showrooms.
