Does 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds.
The performance oriented 2015 Opel Corsa OPC is being displayed at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The car, powered by a 207 hp 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, is claimed to do 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, while the top speed is rated at 230 km/h.
The maximum torque of 245 Nm available between 1,900 and 5,800 rpm can be further increased to 280 Nm using the overboost functionality.
The engine sends the power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The Corsa OPC sits 10 mm lower, thanks to adaptive Koni dampers. It gets 17-inch wheels shod with 215-section Michelin tyres.
The car is differentiated visually from the normal variant by its larger air intakes up front, a spoiler at the rear, a Remus twin-pipe exhaust system, Recaro seats, and a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel. There's also an optional IntelliLink infotainment system.
An optional 'OPC Performance Package' makes the Corsa OPC a lot more serious adding a differential lock, 18-inch wheels, larger Brembo discs, and a "more athletic chassis set up".
