Update - IndianAutosBlog.com learns through official sources that Ford India will introduce the new Endeavour towards the end of the year. When contacted with this information, Ford India's spokesperson refused to comment.

Autocar India's report today states that the 2015 Ford Endeavour will be launched in India around August. Spyshots of the first 2015 Endeavour test mules in India appeared in March, showing three variants.
Two engine and transmission options are reported to be heading our way - a 2.2-litre 148 bhp and a 3.2-litre 197 bhp diesel. The former could be matched to a 6-speed manual transmission and the latter could come only with a 6-speed automatic.
The Ford Endeavour for India will sport a 7-seat configuration with flat folding seats in the second and the third rows as standard.
Features such as the push-button start, assist to control ascent, descent and curve when on a hill, lane departure warning, blind spot indicator, adaptive cruise control and ESP are expected on the SUV.
Autocar says the top-end variant should have an 8-inch touchscreen system with Ford’s SYNC 2 infotainment and with it a sat-nav and rear-view camera. The publication believes that the 2015 Endeavour would be priced starting at INR 18 lakhs.

The Endeavour, called the Everest overseas, world debuted in Thailand in March in three variants. Ford India will continue to source CKD kits from the Rayong plant in Thailand and assemble it in Chennai. The new Endeavour, for the first time, will also be manufactured in China, besides launching in new global markets such as Australia.
