Production set to start in Thailand and China early next year.
The next generation Ford Endeavour (Ford Everest for other markets) was revealed last week in Beijing, China. Seen here are images of the Fortuner-rival from its China unveiling.
Ford is yet to reveal the dimensions of the new Endeavour, or even its kerb weight. What we do know is that the SUV has a 225 mm ground clearance with a water wading depth of 800 mm. The off-road prowess of the new Endeavour is further bolstered by the new Terrain Management System, which allows the driver to choose between different driving modes.
Apart from giving it a new exterior design, Ford's Asia Pacific team which developed the car have finally given the Endeavour an interior fitting its price tag. The tech-loaded interior also gets Ford's SYNC2 multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen display.
Ford announced that the Endeavour will initially be available with a 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel, a 3.2-liter five-cylinder diesel and a 2.0-liter EcoBoost petrol with a twin-scroll turbocharger. Production of the new SUV will start in Rayong, Thailand and Nanchang, China, early next year, the company said.
