Gets twin silencers.
A customized version of the KTM Duke 200 which was built by Kunka Custom Department has been showcased at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2014.
The naked motorcycle has been transformed from a street fighter into an off-roader, thanks to the spoke wheels which are shod with knobbies from Pirelli. The motorcycle is painted in matte grey with a black chassis and handlebar.
Other differences compared to the stock bike include the absence of an engine cowl and underbelly exhaust which result in increased ground clearance for off-road activities. The underbelly exhaust is replaced by twin silencers. There was also another version on display with the stock exhaust system.
Design wise, the Duke Custom features a new headlamp with shield-like fairing, circular turn indicators and a missing front mudguard.
The 199.5 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine has been retained but KTM has has not revealed if there is any change in the performance figures. In stock condition, the motor generates 25 PS at 10,000 rpm and 19.2 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm when mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The WP inverted telescopic fork upfront and the adjustable rear monoshock also have been retained.
The KTM Duke 200 by Kunka Custom is aimed at demonstrating that the naked motorcycle has an off-roading alter ego. However, KTM has not announced any plans to put it into production as of now.
