Post the introduction of new colors on the Yamaha R15 last month, the Japanese manufacturer has updated the FZ series of motorcycles with newer and fresher color options.
Yamaha FZ-S
The Yamaha FZ-S sees the induction of three new colors: Preying Red, Pouncing Black and Hawk-Eye Gold (the last two colors being dual-tone shades).
Yamaha Fazer
The Yamaha Fazer gets two new solid colors in Ravine Red and Wilderness Black, while Terrain White is a new dual-tone shade.
Yamaha FZ16
While Panther Black is the new dual-tone shade, Raider Red and Ambush Blue are the two new solid colors on the Yamaha FZ16.
There are no mechanical changes however. All three motorcycles are powered by a single-cylinder, air-cooled, 153 cc engine producing 14 PS at 7,500 rpm and 13.6 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm matched to a 5-speed gearbox.
Yamaha is simultaneously working on a facelift for the FZ-S. Spyshots of a test mule reveal that the motorcycle will get a new air intake below its fuel tank, while the design of the taillight and rear mudguard are in for a makeover. Media reports indicate that changes are not merely skin deep, and that engineers are working towards enhancing the performance. The updated FZ-S should launch by the end of this year.
