Mahindra showcased the Verito electric sedan at the Auto Expo this year. At the 2012 edition of the Expo, the Verito electric was showcased, but the car displayed at the 2014 Auto Expo is the facelifted model, with the dimensions and interior shared with the petrol-powered sibling.
The Verito electric was caught testing in Bangalore recently, hinting that Mahindra may soon launch the vehicle, it can be the company's second electric vehicle in showrooms. According to the official claim, the car takes seven hours for a full charge (a fast charge takes an hour) and has a maximum range of 80 km. The top-speed is rated at 85 km/h.
Apart from the Verito electric, Mahindra Reva launched an updated version of its e2o small car. The e2o, with its Quick2Charge technology which uses a DC Fast Charging system, can be fully charged in under 60 minutes. A 15 minute charge will provide a range of 25 km.
Mahindra Reva also showcased a two-door sports car concept called Halo. While specifications were not announced, Mahindra said that the car is capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 7 seconds using a boost mode.
