The 2014 edition of the Ford Figo was brought to the Auto Expo and within days launched on the Indian market.
There is only one change to talk about in the car's exterior, which now comes in the 'Mars Red' shade that debuted on the EcoSport. Ford India also confirms that the Figo can be requested in the 'Paprika Red' body color as before.
A new alloy wheel design was seen on the second display car at the Ford stall, which is an accessory, while the chrome embellishments, the hexagonal airdam and the reprofiled taillamps are carried forward from the Figo facelift which launched in late 2012.
Moving to the cabin, the Maruti Swift competitor does not get any optical changes. The Auto Expo display vehicle is seen sporting black leather seat covers with contrast orange stitching which is an optional extra, as informed to us by Ford dealers. However a new feature on the 2014 MY is the inclusion of in-car WiFi which the local dealer says would be a packet/dongle with an annual subscription that plugs into the USB jack on the music system to turn the car into a WiFi hotspot.
The dashboard is in the same black and blue dual-tone color and houses dual airbags, and a Bluetooth-enabled audio system, features that were available previously as well. Driver airbag is now standard on the ZXi variant (penultimate variant - on both petrol and diesel).
