American car maker Dodge has unveiled special editions of the Challenger and Charger at the LA Auto Show. The 100th anniversary edition of the Challenger and Charger will hit the dealerships in Q1 of 2014.
The 100th anniversary Charger can be powered by a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine providing 375 bhp and 535 Nm of torque mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission box. For the more sedate customers, a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine developing 300 bhp connected to an eight-speed transmission is also available.

The 100th anniversary Challenger gets the same 305 bhp 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter HEMI V8 options. Both the V6 and the V8 include sport mode calibration, performance-tuned suspension and a flat bottomed steering wheel.
To mark the special editions, the two variants will have a new “High Octane” red pearl coat paint, all-new 20-inch aluminium wheels, commemorative badging, unique key fob and a special limited-edition owners’ kit and a book that celebrates 100 years of Dodge history.
The cabin boasts Molten Red or Foundry Black Nappa leather sport seats, Liquid Graphite accents and embroidered floor mats. While the Charger gets a Beats by Dr. Dre audio system, the Challenger receives a Boston Acoustics stereo system.
