On Sunday, Tata Motors launched the updated Indica as the Tata Indica V2 NA MY13 in the Nepali auto market. This is Tata's second launch in Nepal this month, the first one being the Tata Xenon Pickup. The vehicle was announced at the NADA 2013 (Nepal Automobiles Dealers' Association) auto show and sales began from there on.
The Indica MY2013 was revealed at the HORIZONEXT event earlier this year at Tata's Pune plant. The vehicle features a triple-stepped chrome tipped radiator grille, ORVMs with turn indicators, a rear chrome garnish, four-spoke steering wheel, dual tone black-beige upholstery, magazine holder on the door, silver-tip gear knob, silver metallic accents on the central console, power windows, a cable-operated gear shift (TA 65 transmission), and a modified dual path front suspension.
The cars going to Nepal are in two variants, LX and LS, both equipped with a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated diesel engine producing 49.5 PS @ 5,000 RPM and 85 NM @ 2,500 RPM. The refreshed Indica will be sold and serviced by Sipradi Trading, Tata's longstanding vehicle distributor in Nepal.
