The stylish Honda Civic Tourer concept broke cover at the Geneva Motor Show and boy it looks impressive!
The estate has a youthful and fresh design with the dimensions are spot on. The car's profile violates the quintessential estate design and makes a statement that affordable and practical station wagons need not be dull and boring.
The concept has a muscular and pronounced bulge above the rear wheel arch. It would be interesting if this design feature filters into the production model as well.
The rear door handle is hidden in rear window, a design feature that was also found in the Honda Urban SUV concept which was showcased in January. The roof line swoops gradually towards the rear and terminates in a glass panel which is located where the conventional C-pillar would be.
Pointers from the launch floor - Honda Civic Wagon Concept
- 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel engine developing 300 Nm of torque
- CO2 emissions of 119g/km
The good news is the production version of the car would be retaining most of the styling cues and due for launch sometime next year. This Civic derivative will further strengthen the Civic range in Honda's stable.
