In the Dutch market, you can now buy the Nissan Micra SR which features SR striping, SR logos around the car and butch-looking 15-inch black alloy wheels. Interiors don't feature new parts but they are spruced up by the black and gray upholstery with red stitching, and black leather steering wheel with red stitching.
The black-red duo spreads to other parts of the cabin such as the gear knob wrap and floor mats. The pedals have an alluminium effect, mimicking the controls of a race car.
There are no performance boosting elements on the Micra SR, but who needs them on a city car used to drop the kids off at school and drive the spouse to the shopping mall? Nissan has priced the SR kit at 1,500 Euros. We'd like to see such a special edition here in India, surely at a much lower price. Nissan India may want to keep things less sporty and aggressive as pumping up adrenaline may lead them into the Pulse' path.
