Malaysia will soon be able to treat itself to the cheapest Volkswagen sedan through the VW Vento.
The VW Vento has been launched in Malaysia for a price of RM99,888. The Vento will be sold as CBU in the Malaysian markets with units being exported from the plant at Chakan India. Because its a CBU, the price has shot up insanely. RM99,888 is nearly 16 lakhs in INR!
For that money, you do get a top of the line VW Vento with a 1.6 litre MPI which generates 105 PS and 153 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a six-speed torque-converter automatic transmission. It is available in 7 color options - Candy White, Flash Red, Terra Beige, Shadow Blue, Reflex Silver and Deep Black. VW also has plans to start a CKD operation if the Polo sedan is successful in Malaysia .
