Ahead of their launches next year, Toyota has presented the Voxy and Noah concepts at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show. These concepts are spacious family vans that have fun, fuel economy and utility in higher levels, says Toyota.
The concepts have a new low-floor package for easy entry and exit, and gets sliding captain seats in the second row.
The Voxy concept is 4.71m long, 1.73m wide, 1,82m tall, with a wheelbase spanning 2.85m. The Noah Concept is 4.69m long, 1.69m wide, 1.82m tall, with a wheelbase spanning 2.85m. Both vehicles are seven-seaters.
A 2.0-liter petrol engine and a 1.8-liter hybrid variant with a full hybrid system have been developed for both vehicles. The hybrid battery is placed optimally to maintain the spacious utility of the minivan, and to achieve high fuel efficiency.
Both vehicles share their platform, but are designed uniquely. The Noah concept's front is styled like a compact minivan, while the Voxy's front employs aerodynamic components to emphasize its wide body and low center of gravity, Toyota explains.
Market versions of the Voxy and Noah concepts will grace dealers early next year.
