At the 2016 GIIAS, Toyota Astra Motor have announced that they gathered 3,800 bookings for the Toyota Calya mini MPV, which was launched today. It is available in five variants, and priced from Rp. 129,650,000 – Rp. 150,000,000 (INR 6.6 lakhs to INR 7.64 lakhs).
The Calya is the eighth and smallest MPV in TAM's product range in Indonesia, slotting below the Toyota Avanza. It is based on the Toyota Agya hatchback, measuring 4,070 mm in length, 1,655 mm in width and 1,600 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,525 mm and a ground clearance of 180 mm.
It is sold in two grades: E and G, spread across five variants. Both grades share features such as power windows for all doors, roof-mounted second-row HVAC vents, one-touch tumble second-row 60:40 split-folding seats, dual-front airbags, 2-speaker double-DIN multimedia system with CD, USB and AUX input and parking (reverse) sensors.

Under the hood, the Calya packs a 3NR-VE 1.2-litre Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine tuned to produce 88 PS (86.76 hp) at 6,000 rpm and 108 Nm of torque at 4,200 rpm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic.
