Debuts a 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol engine.
Tata Motors is gearing up to launch it latest product, the Zica hatchback, in January 2016. The Zica will be priced in between the Nano and Bolt in the compact segment and will rival the likes of the Maruti Celerio, Chevrolet Beat and the Hyundai i10 when launched.
The Zica will be offered with two engines, both paired to a 5-speed manual transmission with Tata's MultiDrive mode as standard. An AMT will not be offered at the time of launch, but is in the pipeline nevertheless.
The all-new 1.2-liter all-aluminium three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine with variable valve timing produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque, whereas the three-cylinder 1.05-liter Revotorq diesel engine makes 70 PS and 140 Nm of torque. The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency figures are yet to be announced.
The top-end variant of the Zica seen in these images, the Zica XZ, rides on 14-inch alloy wheels while offering a rear spoiler, chrome-highlighted foglight enclosures and reverse parking sensors. Inside, it is equipped with a Harman sound system with 8 speakers (2 speakers and 2 tweeters for the front and rear), Bluetooth, USB, AUX-in, GPS navigation through a smartphone app, multifunction steering wheel, electric adjustment for the wing mirrors, and a foldable back seat.
