Launched on April 6.
A report on Livemint states that Tata Motors has received over 15,000 bookings and 1,00,000 enquiries in a month for the Tata Tiago, since its launch on April 6.
Tata had sold 3,022 units of the hatchback in April, making it the best selling product for the company in that month, and contributed to a 2.2 percent growth in sales over the same month last year. Much of its success is attributed to the highly competitive launch price INR 3.2 Lakhs -4.75 Lakhs for petrol and INR 3.94 Lakhs - 5.54 Lakhs for the diesel variant (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
However, according to Tata’s VP of Sales and Network, SN Barman, the prices of the Tiago are likely to be increased soon, since it's "difficult to hold on to the aggressive launch price". The Tiago is available in five grades: XB, XE, XM, XT, XZ.
