From what little can be seen, the Kite hatchback, as seen in spyshots, has a familiar silhouette to the new Ford Figo, and the communication color chosen by Tata Motors is similar to the 'Sparkling Gold' shade of the new Figo.
As reported earlier, the reveal of the Kite and its name announcement will take place in the first week of December this year, though a market launch could take place in January 2016.
The Kite will be powered by an all-new three-cylinder 1.2-liter petrol engine and a 1.05-liter three-cylinder diesel engine. Both engines will be paired to a 5-speed manual transmission, though an automated manual transmissions (AMT) could be offered as well.

Underneath, the Kite will be based on the Tata Indica's underpinnings, though the body shell is expected to have been strengthened for increased safety. Top-end variants of the hatchback will offer ABS, EBD and dual airbags.
