Previewed as a concept at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon.
In Japan, Subaru has dropped a teaser confirming that the Subaru Levorg STi will be launched for sale in this summer. The Levorg STi will go on sale in Japan first, although it's unclear if it will be introduced in other markets.
The Levorg STI was previewed by a near-production concept at the 2016 Tokyo Auto Salon, which featured a dynamic exterior finished in World Rally Blue, 18-inch BBS wheels and a sportier suspension setup with lower ride height than the standard Levorg.
It could source the 2.5L DOHC turbocharged boxer engine from the Subaru WRX STi, which produces 305 hp and 290 lb-ft (393 Nm) of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, which will send power to all four wheels via Subaru's Symmetric AWD system.

The Subaru Levorg had recently undergone small updates that focused on weight reduction, noise isolation and the availability of the EyeSight safety package on all trim levels.
