The Ssangyong XLV concept has been showcased at the Geneva Motor Show. As per some media reports, this concept's underpinning will also spawn the Mahindra S102 SUV.
The car is designed to appeal to users who are looking for "individuality and practicality to support their active lifestyle." Its design philosophy, 'Nature born - 3 Motion', is an articulation from the 'XIV' concepts presented in previous motorshows.
The XLV concept measures 4,430 mm in length, 1,845 mm in width, 1,600 mm in height and 2,600 mm in wheelbase. It will come powered by a 1.6-liter diesel engine paired to an electric motor, Ssangyong announced.
The powertrain consists of a 48V hybrid system that pairs a 1.6-litre diesel engine and a 10kW electric motor driven by a 500Wh lithium ion battery. The CO2 level of this model is 10% lower than its competitors, Ssangyong claims.
The car features a 2+2+2+1 seating arrangement and the seventh seat can be moved freely along the centre of the car.
More details are available on the press release.
