XIV Adventure to primarily influence the production version.
Ssangyong chairman Lee Yoo-il confirmed to Car Advice that the X100 compact SUV will have its domestic (South Korean) market launch in January 2015, after which it will start sales in markets like Europe and Australia.
The X100 will be Ssangyong's entry-level SUV, that will rival the Ford EcoSport and the likes. It was previewed by way of the XIV Air and XIV Adventure Concepts that were shown in Paris last week. According to Yoo-il, the production version will carry over 90 percent of design from the XIV Adventure concept.
Power for the X100 is reported to come from 1.6-liter petrol and diesel engines paired to 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. The X100 can be had with 2WD and 4WD when it goes on sale.

Ssangyong is expected to richly equip the X100 with features like 7 airbags, ESC, hill assist, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth connectivity and reverse camera.
For now though, it is still a question mark whether Mahindra will introduce the X100 in India.
